Skipton Intermediaries – Service and Website Update
Dear Intermediary,
Over the past few months we have made changes across several areas, including our lending criteria, the service we offer to you and how we communicate with you. We are now pleased to be able to share details of the improvements we have made and we are confident that these changes mean that it is now easier to do business with us and our communications to you will be better and more frequent. Please read on for more details.
Service Update
We have been working hard at improving our service over the past months and we feel we have made some significant improvements to our turnaround times, the latest of which are:
- We are answering 92% of calls within a wait time of 3 minutes, despite call volumes being exceptionally high at the moment
- We aim to review applications within 3 working days from receipt of all supporting documentation
- We are achieving an average turnaround (application to offer) of 10 working days for all cases received with all of the supporting documentation at time of submission.
We will continue to provide service level updates on our new improved intermediary website, more details of which are below.
Lending Criteria Changes
We have made a number of improvements to our lending criteria and documentation requirements, which mean more of your clients will be accepted by us than before and it is easier than ever to do business with us. Some key changes are:
- No deductions for dependents in our affordability calculator
- Maximum loan over 85% LTV increased from £250k to £300k
- Improved Buy To Let lending criteria, including accepting first time landlords, reducing minimum income to £20k per annum and allowing New Build Houses
The good news is that we have more changes coming in the new few weeks that will further enhance our criteria and we will be sure to communicate these to you as and when they happen.
Intermediary Website Changes
Our intermediary website home page has been refreshed so that it now contains more information on key products in our range, as well as details on current service levels. These will be updated regularly so that you are aware of the likely timescales for submitted applications and hopefully will reduce the need for you to contact us for updates. As you can see, we have made lots of improvements to our service and criteria over the past few months and there are more to come. We hope that this will encourage you to consider us for more cases in the future, especially for those of you that have not used us much since we returned to lending in 2010.
