News about the Affordibility Calculator
Dear Intermediary,
Further to our recent communications, here at Skipton we continue to listen to your feedback on what is important to you as a Mortgage Intermediary. We want to let you know about two exciting and practical changes to our affordability calculator that will make it easier for you to identify the maximum loan Skipton is prepared to consider.
You can count on our calculations
Firstly, we have improved the affordability calculator and now request that you input commitments on a monthly rather than annual basis. Income will continued to be inputted as annual income and the affordability calculator will now display the loan to value ratio for which your client is eligible.
Secondly, we have significantly improved the lending amounts for clients who are looking to borrow 75% LTV or below who achieve an acceptable application score. Our affordability calculator will now advise the maximum lending Skipton Intermediaries will consider based upon your input for both above and below 75% LTV.
If your case fits within our affordability criteria, simply progress to a Decision In Principle on our e-mortgage system for a final decision. If the decision is referred to an underwriter, we aim to respond within two hours. Please remember that our decisions are valid for 30 days, so long as there are no changes in your client's circumstances.
