At Skipton, we believe that a culture of openness and integrity is essential. That’s why we provide trusted and confidential Speak Out (Whistleblowing) channels for anyone working with or for us to raise concerns if ever they suspect any wrongdoing.

Our commitment

We take all concerns seriously and are committed to investigating them thoroughly and fairly. Every report is managed through a robust governance process, and if any wrongdoing is identified, appropriate action is taken.

Our Speak Out (Whistleblowing) Champion, Iain Cummings, ensures the independence, effectiveness, and integrity of our whistleblowing procedures and safeguards whistleblowers from retaliation or unfair treatment.

What you can report

You can report any concern where you reasonably believe something is wrong, including:

  • Fraud, bribery, or other criminal activity
  • Risks to health and safety
  • Environmental harm
  • Discrimination or harassment
  • Breaches of legal or professional obligations
  • Attempts to conceal wrongdoing

You don't need proof, just a reasonable belief that something is not right.

We would encourage you to provide your details when you make a report,  however you can also choose to remain anonymous. If you’re comfortable to do so, providing your contact details can help us investigate more effectively. You can also choose to share your details with Safecall only - they won’t be passed on to Skipton without your consent.

Whilst evidence isn't essential, please include as much detail as possible (what happened, when, where, and any supporting information) to help us understand and address the issue.

Depending on the nature of the concern, if we can, we will also let you know the outcome.
