This calculator is based on our standard rental income calculation of 145% of the mortgage interest stressed at 5.5% and applies to product terms less than five years and background Buy to Lets.

The calculator cannot be used in the following instances:

For Buy to Let products with a fixed term of five years or more, a lower stress rate of 145% x 5% will apply.

For Basic/Nil rate tax payers, a lower stress rate of either 125% x 5% or 125% x 5.5% will apply.
