5 December 2025
As we wrap up another busy year, we thought it’d be a great time to look back at the conversations, insights and ideas that have helped shape 2025 through our Skipton Listens broker forums.
These quarterly sessions are our way of staying connected with you. They’re where we hear what’s going on in your world, what’s working well, what’s proving trickier, and how we can better support you and your clients.
Here’s a look back at what we’ve achieved together this year.
Quarter one - spotlight on Scotland
We kicked off the year in Glasgow, meeting brokers from across Scotland to talk about the unique challenges in the Scottish housing market – from limited housing supply to the pressures facing first-time buyers.
It was great to hear that our current proposition remains well-suited to the Scottish market, but we also came away with plenty of food for thought for the future.
Quarter two - Shared Ownership in focus
In quarter two we headed to Sheffield, where Metro Finance kindly hosted us for a session dedicated entirely to Shared Ownership. We welcomed brokers who specialise in this area, and they shared their views on what’s working and where more support is needed.
The discussion helped shape a Shared Ownership paper that’s now moving through internal approval – a great example of how your feedback genuinely helps us plan what comes next.
Quarter three - building loyalty, together
Our third forum of the year took place in Solihull. This time, we focused on topics chosen mainly by brokers in the room. We also chatted about loyalty – specifically how we can recognise and reward it better.
With so much of our mortgage business coming through intermediaries, we want to make sure any future loyalty proposition delivers real value for you too.
The feedback we received was full of fresh thinking, including ideas on how lenders can better support protection products taken out by potential borrowers. We’re now exploring these insights in more detail.
Quarter four - looking ahead
Our final forum of the year will take place virtually to make it easier for brokers across the country to take part. We’re still finalising the topic, so keep your eyes peeled – but as always, it will be shaped by the things that matter to you.
Your feedback doesn't just stay in the room
A huge thank you to everyone who’s taken part in a forum this year. Your input genuinely shapes how we evolve our proposition – helping us to continue supporting you and borrowers right across the UK.
We’re looking forward to keeping the conversations going in 2026 and beyond.
