If the conveyancer is not on our panel

Skipton Building Society have appointed Legal Marketing Services Limited (LMS) to provide panel management services and distribute mortgage instructions on its behalf through LMS Panel Link and Conveyancer Zone.

We have a panel of conveyancers who are eligible to act on our behalf. If you know the firm your client intends to use is not on our panel then the firm can apply for membership of our conveyancing panel. To start a panel application, please visit the LMS Panel Application.

Please note:

Your client is free to use conveyancers of their own choice, however if the conveyancer is not on our panel then, unless admitted, the Society will instruct another conveyancer to act on our behalf on the mortgage and your client will be liable for both sets of charges.

If your client is taking out a remortgage product that is offering a fee assisted legal service, they would only qualify if using our appointed conveyancer as we have specially negotiated costs.

The Society reserves the right to refuse admission to the panel or to suspend or remove a firm from its panel.
